Goodbye Old Job, Hello New!

Hey everyone! The past couple weeks  have been bittersweet. It was my last week at my current job and I started a new job.  I have been a nanny to a family for two in a half years, and  I have been very lucky to work for this family for the past couple years. I have had many great memories with these kids from going to the zoo to spending the day baking. I will definitely miss these kids!

My last day with the kids was spent getting ice cream at Baskin Robbins. It was great to be able to go out with the kids one more time and to be able to remember different memories. The youngest child loved sharing her favorite memories. Of course they were not the best, but they were the ones she loved. One of the things she brought up was when I locked us out of the car and we had to walk back to the house so we could get my spare key. Another memory she had was when I got a flat tire and she threw the equipment I was using to change the tire under the car. Even though they were crazy days for me she had a blast! Right before I left the kids gave me a beautiful necklace to remember them by, which I will always cherish.

With every sad good-bye there is an equally happy hello. I am very excited to have started a new job this past week. I still will be nannying, but will be able to go in a better direction with my current position. I will be able to focus more on school and relationships. Not only will I be able to do that, but I will also be able to build new long lasting relationships with the new family I am working for.

Even though it was hard to tell the kids I have watched grow up the past couple years good-bye, I am so thrilled to be able to work with this new family. I also look forward in bringing you all along in this next chapter of my life. What jobs have you had a hard time leaving? Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you all have a great upcoming week!
